About Ebony Beach Club

Ebony Beach Club is a Los Angeles based beach lifestyle community and movement. The name plays homage as a contemporary tribute to the original Ebony Beach Club that was founded in 1957 by entrepreneur Silas White in Santa Monica, CA. Back then, over 2,000 people had signed up to join the prospective beach club—but just months before its official opening, the city shut it down by wrongfully claiming eminent domain over the land for "civic parking". That space—and that dream—was never given a chance to thrive. Today, we're breathing new life into his vision of leisure for Black & Brown people on the California coast.

We believe that the beach is more than just sand and waves—it's a sacred space to reconnect, reset, and rise together. Sharing the ocean is a blessing, and the Ebony Beach Club community was created as a means of uplifting each other both in and out of the water through surf, celebration, and togetherness. We're reclaiming joy, building community, and rewriting The California Dream one gathering at a time.

This partnership isn't just about surf—it's about who gets to show up at the shoreline and feel at home. Born from a shared love for the beach, this sandal honors heritage, celebrates connection, and invites everyone to find comfort in the sun, the sand, and each other. Because the beach isn't exclusive—it's expansive. And we all belong in the water.

We are proud to stand as an ongoing partner with Ebony Beach Club, committed to pushing boundaries and creating new opportunities through surf camps and beyond.
