CALIFORNIA’S FUTURE STARS SIGN WITH REEF

Reef is excited to announce the addition of both Nick Rozsa and Chris Waring to its head to toe (apparel & footwear) program. Both of these young athletes are on the brink of their professional surfing careers and Reef is committed to support each of them as they concentrate on competition and continue to progress the sport of surfing.

At 20 years of age, Nick Rozsa has already solidified numerous Pro Junior titles and most recently surfed amongst the world’s elite junior surfers at the Billabong World Juniors in Narrabeen, Australia. Rozsa hails from Oxnard, California where the punchy beach breaks and reeling point breaks have helped to groom his progressive surfing style. Rozsa’s immediate goals consist of attacking the WQS and filming with fellow Reef team riders for the brands follow up movie set to release Spring 09.

“I’m so stoked to be a part of Reef’s killer program. Bobby has set the standards and I want to get there as well. It’s good that I’ll be traveling with Tonino and Waring as we can push each other while on tour this year,” announced Nick Rosza.

Chris Waring, also 20 years of age, and recently off the same trip to the World Juniors, has made a name for himself by being a leader amongst the pro junior ranks and now a threat to any competitor on the WQS. Comfortable on rail or rotating in the air, Waring’s powerful and radical surfing style can be contributed to his up-bringing in Seal Beach, CA. Waring will also start filming with fellow team riders as Reef gets set for its next movie release.

Waring went on to say “I’ve always admired how Reef has taken of its team since I was young. Before I thought my surfing was being overlooked. Now I’m amping as Reef recognizes my talent and is ready to help me jump to the next level.”

Adding to an already all star team roster, Rozsa and Waring now join fellow Reef team riders such as Bobby Martinez, Ben Bourgeois, Jay ‘Bottle’ Thompson and Tonino Benson.
