Chilean, Reef team rider, Manuel Selman has won the first ever Rip Curl Pro Search Trials and the Fosters Expression Session down at the Rip Curl Pro Seach WCT in Arica, Chile. The Chilean now earns a wildcard to compete in the main event against the best surfers in the world including Mick Fanning, Kelly Slater and host of others.

Selman knows the wave at Arica inside out and will put his local knowledge to the test when he enters the water against the world's elite. Selman feels confident going into the event having surfed the heavy peak in all types of conditions.

The swell forecast heading into the remainder of the event is looking very optimistic. With the right swell and good weather conditions, the Southern Hemisphere's 'Chilean Pipeline' could be offeriing up the best event to be seen on this year's WCT.
