No one label adequately describes Jamie Mitchell and that’s just how he likes it. He is indisputably the world’s greatest ocean paddler, a big wave rider, international swell chaser, and all-round waterman.
Cyrus Sutton is a California surfer/filmmaker and creator of Korduroy TV. In 2005, he won an Emmy for his documentary work. In 2010, he released the much-loved independent surf film, “Stoked and Broke” and has become a voice in returning surfing to individualism.
A Hawaiian in every sense of the word, Stephen Koehne is a double threat, slaying huge barrels or huge pelagic fish. A Kauai boy, Koehne came up under Andy and Bruce Irons. He’s a straightforward kind of character who’s especially good at backside barrels – Teahupoo, Pipe, or back home in Kauai. Competing isn’t Koehne’s main focus. Every since he landed a 170-lb yellowfin tuna from his jet ski, he’s been focused on big fish, especially those that put up the most fight. Koehne bought himself a single hull boat and whenever the surf drops, he’s out chasing big game fish. Life simply revolves around the ocean.
Growing up on the coast of Santa Barbara, CA, Conner Coffin has always had a love for the ocean. He credits his father, who had him in the Pacific from kindergarten, with his early passion for surfing.
